In 2027, Europe plays Kubb here.

1–4 July 2027 · San Pietro in Cariano, Valpolicella. This is the first time the sport's European Championships will be held in Italy, and we're the ones organising them. Under the patronage of the Comune di San Pietro in Cariano.

The question everyone asks

What is Kubb? In twenty seconds.

  1. 1Two teams, a lawn eight metres by five, wooden throwing sticks.
  2. 2You knock down the other team's kubbs, then finally the king: topple it too soon and you lose.
  3. 3Children, adults and older people play together: the rules take ten minutes to learn.

Where we stand

This isn't just a plan on paper.

A calendar of events running since 2023, a national team competing at the European Championships, and a European title. All of it done by volunteers, with whatever we had to hand.

Why now

In Italy, we're the first.

In Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Sweden and France, Kubb has clubs and championships. In Italy, until 2024, there was no association: now there is.

Come on board now and you're not joining something already finished: you're part of it while it's being built.

How we work together

What we build together.

We don't have off-the-shelf packages. We design each partnership together with the business that comes on board, because every company brings something different to the table.

    The 2027 European Championships

When a partner is most visible – and also when they're needed most.

1–4 July 2027: three days of championship play plus an international Sunday event, with teams, players and the people travelling with them from all over Europe, in Valpolicella. An event of this scale takes a year and a half to prepare: it needs sports facilities, accommodation, logistics, event set-up and communications.

    Festival del Gioco, Dolcè 2025.

    The regular calendar

Around thirty events a year: your brand becomes part of local life, not just a logo on a billboard.

Tournaments, open days, village festivals, schools and care homes, around Verona, Valpolicella and on away trips. This is where the players who'll compete in 2027 are made.

  • Players toast with glasses of white wine under the gazebo, one holding a bottle and a wooden king.

Festa dei Vini Classici, Pedemonte 2025.

    The bond with Valpolicella

Outdoor sport, wine and slow tourism: we didn't go looking for the overlap, we found it.

A sport played on a lawn, in the middle of the hills, that brings people here from all over Europe. What this area already offers and what we do fit together naturally.

  • Hands holding a knockout bracket for the tournament on a sheet of paper

    Not just money

Equipment, hospitality, transport, expertise: much of what's needed can't be bought with a bank transfer.

Materials, services, professional skills, the use of venues and spaces. Many of the things we need can't be bought, and many businesses have exactly those things to offer.

In all honesty

What we're not.

We're telling it as it is, because this is exactly what we're asking you to weigh up.
A.S.D. Kubb Italia

We're not a sports federation: we're an amateur sports association run by volunteers, and in Italy Kubb isn't yet a discipline under any national sports federation. The official rules are the international ones, not ours.

We don't have big-sport numbers. We have a small, growing movement, a European title that came sooner than expected and a continental event to organise.

Let's talk

The first step is a chat.

Tell us what you do and we'll tell you frankly where we might find common ground. If there isn't a fit, we'll say so straight away: nobody has time to waste.

See you on the pitch.
